" Loving Kids Into The Kingdom,
Equipping Them to Live For Christ,
Developing
Positive Urban Leadership"
Campus Club is an outreach ministry committed
to reaching urban Junior and Senior high students with the Gospel
of Jesus Christ.
Campus Club is led by Christians who feel that God has called
them to follow Christ's example by digging deep into lives; by investing
themselves in the souls of Macon's urban youth. They are adults
from a variety of church backgrounds who have come together to
reach
out with the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ.
The ministry focuses on building relationships
between Christian adults and urban students. Leaders go where
the kids are and meet
them on their own "turf," demonstrating a genuine interest
in their lives. These "bridges of friendship" pave the
way to share the Good News of Jesus Christ through both actions
and speech.
Our prayer is that the students will respond to God's love, come
to know the redemption of His Son, and be added to a local church.
meets every other Thursday night from 6:00 - 8:00
PM. The meetings include music, games, skits, and snacks; all of
which creates within the kids willingness to listen. The Club meeting
culminates with an informal presentation of the Gospel message by
one of our adult leaders.
meets every other Tuesday night from 7:00 - 9:00
PM and follows a similar format.
As students seek to explore a deeper relationship with Christ, we
want to equip them to grow in their faith. To help facilitate
this goal, we provide small group Bible studies and discussion
groups. This allows us to focus on what it means to be a Christian
and live a life which is pleasing to God. PACT (Prayer, Accountability,
Caring and Training) groups meet every other Tuesday and Thursday
night.
Job Club is a work-readiness program for middle school students which runs for seven weeks during the summer. It is composed of classroom and on-the-job training.
Male Call is a program designed specifically for young males in
grades 6 - 8. It is simply a program that calls young males to
be men. We take the young men through six sessions and highlight
what we think are six key concepts of being a man.
A golf outreach that focuses on developing students in the 4 elements
of life: physical, mental, social, and spiritual. Our goal is
to help students recognize and follow the course of life that
God has set before them.
Camps are a strategic part of Campus Club's effort to reach students
for Christ. Christian camp experiences allow the students to be
removed from the distractions that surround them, be under concentrated
Gospel teaching, and form stronger relationships with Club leaders.
Campus Club provides several annual outreach camp opportunities,
using various Young Life retreat locations.
During the summer, students have an opportunity to improve their
academics under the supervision of Adult Christian volunteers.
This is yet another way to show the youth that volunteers care
about their lives and their relationship to God.
The Bible is God's inerrant, infallible Word and the basis of all
truth. We believe in His promises. That an absolute dependency
on God is the only way the ministry of Campus Club will reap an
eternal harvest. Only God can change hearts and renew minds (Romans
12:2). Prayer is a vital tool in unleashing God's power, guidance,
protection, and blessing. Prayer must undergird the Campus Club
ministry. Every effort should be made to involve youth in worship
and the life of the church. That our focus is to nurture students
in Christ and not to simply administer successful programs. That
as we seek to bring student to maturity in Christ, God will use
them to share the truth with others in their community.
